PROSTaid – are a support group who meet at Melton Baptist Church rooms, Bowling Green, Melton Mowbray, LE13 0FA from 7.00pm – 9.00pm on 1st Wednesday of the month. Contact Bob & Jane White on 0776 162963 or 01664 563313. I had a lovely chat with Bob and he suggested I look at their website Prostaid.co.uk which has details of groups in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire. There are a couple of people from Stamford who attend the Melton Mowbray group and I’ve put Bob in touch with the people who run the Prostate Cancer Support Groups in Boston and Lincoln, which are run in conjunction with TACKLE, who are based at Grantham District Hospital. I’m hoping they might start something in the south of the county.
